This is a chance for all collectors of the fabulous Yves St Laurent perfume Rive Gauche to buy a little piece of history. These gift bags were made in the early 1980's so are now about 40 years old and are incredibly rare. After an extensive Google search I can find no others anywhere in the world online.
The person who very kindly donated them to me to sell for charity was an avid collector of Rive Gauche in the 70's and 80's and bought loads of products which came in the gift bags. She brought them home and put them away in the back of a cupboard and they have been there for over 40 years and she had forgotten all about them until she moved home recently.
The gift bags have deteriorated due to storage and the passage of time as you can see from the edges (I have taken a couple of photos in close up of this to give you an idea of the condition so please zoom in to all the photos as they form an important part of the description), however the bold blue, black and silver design of the bags is instantly recognizable and iconic.
