The coin listed is the 2023 Niue MARVEL COMIX collection release of The AVENGERS #1 on a 1oz Proof Colour .999 Fine Silver coin.
The coin presents the front cover of the original Newsstand comic published and released 01 September 1963, The AVENGERS #1. The Earths Mightiest Heroes. The front cover of the comic book has been replicated down to the finest details and meticulously coloured and minted with titles and characters filling the coin as they did the comic book.
After the huge success of the Fantastic Four and the Amazing Spider-Man Stan Lee and Jack Kirby would strike success again with AVENGERS #1 which showcased the first appearance of the Avengers: Ant-Man (Hank Pym), the Incredible Hulk, the Invincible Iron Man and the Mighty Thor. A team of heroes set to become remembered 60 years later through television and cinema with additional characters coming and going throughout the decades.
The obverse of the coin presents the Seal of the Island of Niue upon a proof finish with stylized pages curling up from the left. Above the seal the denomination TWO DOLLARS. Below the Seal the release year 2023. The MARVEL name and TM with Copyright along with weight, purity and finesse 1 oz 999 Fine Silver completes the coins descriptions. the 1st appearance and origin of the Avengers: Ant-Man (Hank Pym), Hulk, Iron Man, Wasp and Thor.
The coin is housed in a themed window box with a slide out drawer to reach the coin. The coin also has it's own individual C.O.A. secured on the exterior of the box.
