Here we have a top quality and impressive solid sterling silver lidded ice bucket / Pail & lid by J B Chatterley one of the most well known and appreciated silversmiths in Solid silver Barware.

This fabulous and quite rare sterling silver lidded ice bucket / pail of highly polished plain Circular form having a fine gadroon border and paired handled of ‘Fan’ design. 

With a pull off lid that fits perfectly and creates a seal when closed to help prevent the ice cubes from melting, it also features a solid silver highly polished finial.

The interior of the ice bucket is free from nasty dents, dints & scratches and is in exceptional condition. 

( Will have some very light marks commensurate with use and age )

Hallmarks are clean and easy readable. 

Condition 

Exceptional condition, this wonderful piece has very little evidence of wear, No dents, dints or nasty scratches, Lid fits perfectly without any distortion buckles, base is balanced and true, even the contact surface area of the underside of the base is free from nasty or deep scratches.

The interior is also without any nasty scratches or heavy ice cube wear. 

I believe this piece has only ever been used occasionally and spent most of its life in a cabinet or as a display piece, as its such a beautiful piece that does display wonderfully.
