The Lanberg network cable tester is a multifunctional device for testing cables in telecommunications networks. The device is an indispensable tool for every installer. It helps significantly save time in verifying network cable pairs. The device is mainly used to measure the continuity of LAN cabling and verify connections, including detecting possible problems with short circuits or incorrect pair connections. Using this tool, you can test the connections of telephone cables terminated with an RJ-11 connector, UTP, FTP, SFTP twisted pairs terminated with RJ-45 plugs and cables terminated with a coaxial connector. The device consists of two parts that should be attached to the ends of the tested cable: - Tester equipped with diodes, RJ-45, RJ-12/RJ-11, coaxial connectors and a switch. - Terminator (adapters) equipped with diodes, RJ-45 and RJ-12/RJ-11 connectors. The tester checks each wire separately using two speed modes and checks the correct connection of the shield to the modular plug when testing FTP (shielded) cables. Thanks to the above device, you will find cables in most types of supported terminals, such as switches, routers, PCs, patch panels, flush-mounted and surface-mounted sockets. The device has many practical functions, such as: - Automatic checking of the correct connections in RJ-45 and RJ-11 cables. - Slow test function. - Measurement and control signaling with 9 LED diodes. - Two operating speed modes (automatic scan) with the ability to set normal speed and slow speed. The tool will be used in telecoms, internet cafes, engineering companies, internet and electrical networks, server rooms, both in small and medium-sized companies. It will also work well in low-current installations such as cable television networks, alarm systems, fire protection systems, access control and CCTV and IP monitoring systems.
