This very rare Spain-only issue from Edicions Albert Moraleda (UPC 8 427702 003634, made in Spain or the EU, stereo) features the complete piano works of composer Joaquin Turina played by master pianist Antonio Soria. The set comes in a beautiful heavyweight box housing 16 CDs (in standard jewel cases) along with a heavy, thick booklet that includes very extensive liner notes in English. This set includes:

33 works receiving their world-premiere recordings (first issue in any format)

48 works receiving their first recordings on CD

Antonio Soria Alemany was born in 1967 and studied principally with Ramón Coll and Francis Chapelet, while also taking masterclasses with Walid Akl, Alexis Weissenberg, Maria Joāo Pires, and Joaquin Achucarro. Here, he plays a Steinway (Model 446.160-D), most of the sessions recorded in Barcelona.

This set is quite heavy; packaged for shipping, it will weigh more than 3 kg (nearly 7 lbs).

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

 

The condition throughout is MINT. This is an unplayed, factory-sealed copy.
