Reluctantly up for sale due to owner's deteriorating health is this beautiful Jaguar XJ6 that has been our own car for the last 4 years
This car was first registered in November 1975 to a Jaguar dealership in Wales who sold it to a chap who kept it until he died, his Son then took ownership until we bought it in 2020

Mechanically the car runs well with good oil pressure ( see video) it changes smoothly through the gears. and everything works as far as I am aware with the exception of the hand brake which needs a small replacement spring on the bottom of the lever, We have sourced one but it hasn't arrived yet and is a 10 minute job to fit, we did a 600 mile round trip in it last year and it didn't miss a beat, it was an absolute pleasure.

Body wise it is, as in the images, a lovely looking solid car that has benefitted from spending most of its life garaged and warm, the bodywork is original, it has had bits of paintwork here and there over the years but never been resprayed and it's chrome work is in excellent condition with no damage save for a tiny ding to the rear bumper next to nearside overrider, We have a replacement but never got around to fitting it. The car was extensively undersealed prior to our ownership and this has preserved it well. It had the chrome wheels fitted which are now extremely expensive to acquire and these are in well above average condition with slight pitting under scrutiny but polish up to look super.

Interior is like sitting in a time capsule. The seats were renovated 4 years ago and are solid with no splits to the stitching and present well. The headlining was replaced and is like new and the dash wood veneer is in exceptional condition with a lovely lustre to it, all the instruments work, it has electric windows, all work, central locking that works and the original Radiomobile 8 track player that powers up but the electric aerial needs replacing as it doesn't go up and down, again sourced but not fitted. The boot is clean and tidy with original mat in it.

During our ownership, we have amassed a huge selection of parts for the car that we have kept to cover many mechanical eventualities but never needed to use and these will be offered as a job lot to the winning bidder on collection of the car for well below their value if required.

We are starting the auction at just £1000 and there is no buy it now price, although offers to end will be considered during the auction run, any professional AA or RAC inspection is welcome during the auction run, as are test drives, subject to necessary insurance cover. Once the auction has ended, however, no test drives, inspections or haggling over the winning bid price will be accepted, We simply want contact within 24 hours of winning and the car collecting within 7 days with payment via cash or bank transfer, sorry if this sounds harsh but too many people mess around on ebay and we have no time for this

Any questions, please feel free to ask

Please note, I have had a bidder suggest tat on his ebay app. the listing states that VAT is applicable to sale price. THIS IS A PRIVATE SALE AND THE VEHICLE DOES NOT ATTRACT VAT so if your app. says this, please ignore it as it is just one of ebay's weird listing anomalies
