Most dresses require 3 metres of fabric. If you are making a dress with a lot of detail or using a heavy fabric, you may need as much as 4 or 5 metres. It is always better to have too much fabric than not enough, so it is best to overestimate the amount you need.

Viscose is most commonly used for dressmaking as it hangs beautifully and has a lovely soft feel to it. 

Viscose fabrics are ideal to be used for dresses, shorts & shirts/blouses.

30 degree machine wash on gentle cycle. Cool, gentle tumble-dry or hang to dry. 

Please note – All viscose fabrics shrink by 5-8% when washed
