This handsome sterling silver ladle is in good condition, with surface scratches commensurate with its age, some minor dents in the bowl, and a slight bend in the handle about 1.25" above the bowl. It is about 6.5" long, the bowl is 2" in diameter, and it weighs 44 grams. Monogrammed "M", hallmarks indicate it is sterling, made in London in what appears to be 1804. The maker's mark begins with a C in a rectangle, which may represent Charles Eley, although there are other possibilities as the other initial(s) are worn down. It's a lovely old piece.
