Re-amp, record, and perform with USB and DI!

Moreso than any other Ironheart head, the IRT-Studio is made for serious studio work, including re-amping! The rear panel offers T-USB output and a quarter-inch socket for re-amping dry signals through the IRT-Studio’s preamp section. Innovative T-USB facilitates a modern workflow by capturing dry and processed signals simultaneously, requiring fewer cables and less setup as you pursue quality recordings. With the IRT-Studio’s system, re-amping is always an option, even when it wasn’t the initial goal. And though optimized for the studio, the IRT-Studio can certainly be used as portable head for gigs. Just add a speaker cabinet or directly route signal to a house system via DI and built-in cabinet emulation.

Massive range and EQ

Plenty of tube heads pack a powerful punch. But no two punches are the same, which is why this head lets players shape their tone with a unique push-pull EQ system that renders basic 3-band EQ infinitely more flexible. Each EQ band packs an alternate voice. The natural pushed position keeps frequency ranges conventional, but pulling EQ knobs extends frequency bands for extreme chiseling of lows, mids, and highs. This ingenious system lets players achieve extreme frequencies common to heavy styles without requiring tons of additional gear. Alternate voices are as follows: deep/bass extends lows to be extra heavy and full; shift/mid shifts midrange lower for tighter focus and less width; and shift/treble widens the treble band for rounder, three-dimensional highs (a favorite for giving thinner pickups more presence). Moreover, you still get a traditional tone control, plus Laney’s unique dynamics knob that reigns in lows for a tighter punch or loosens them for a wider presence.
