The Correspondence of John Lothrop Motley, edited by George William Curtis, in two volumes complete.  Published in 1889 in New York by Harper & Brothers, it is a 1st edition/1st printing.  Just over 800 pages total in the two volumes. 

Good condition, in original green publishers cloth, top edge gilt, exterior shows light wear to edges/corners and slight soiling to covers, extremes of spine and corners rubbed, previous owner name on title page in each volume, interiors are very clean save for brief underlining on 3-4 letters in each volume.
