This listing is for a vintage Whiting & Davis Item 2885 Black bubble enamel mesh evening bag. From my research, it appears to be Ca. 1940. Due to the black enamel that is around the edge/opening, it is a rare item.
Black with gold accents
Kiss lock closure (still very tight)
High quality grosgrain fabric lining (no tears)
All "bubbles" are intact
Interior side pocket (no mirror)
Original tag in place
Measures 10" by 8"
This purse is in PRISTINE condition. No rips, tears or missing "bubbles". When I was younger and had dressy occasions, I carried it many times.
This would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift. Could be carried or great for a collection.
