Hi there,

I'm selling a really beautiful antique horse figure. Bending to drink, or perhaps graze the grass?

Painted green and rather beaten by a long life.

It has come to me with a broken fore leg, needing a new home.

She has a rather simple but fvery riendly looking face.

I think the body shape is very accurate? She has the faintest of eyelashes under the paint.

As well as an injured front leg, her tail has been bent.

I wonder if someone dropped her? And being so heavy, bent her rear legs too.

She stands on her three hooves, but on some angles, appreciates something to lean on, (don't we all!)

Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions.

I'm really not sure of where this lost horse originates, but she has a slightly European feel.

She weighs a really healthy 1.5 kilos and feels like she's made of lead. It definitely looks like lead where the paint has worn down.

And she measures 7.5 inches from mane to tail. 4.5 inches high(not sure about in hands) and 2 inches wide.

She's very heavy and feels solid, but when shaking, I can hear a small rattle, suggesting a hollow space inside...

As to age, i'd suggest the turn of the century, but not the last one, more like 1900...

As grand horse sculptures go, this is not a famous designer or a huge size on a grand wooden plinth, but there is something very honest about this piece.

She has a very natural, genuine patina.

I think anyone who has loved and cared for a particular horse in their life will fall in love with this gorgeous sculpture.

I will pack it very carefully for travel.

Thanks for looking, i'm always open to reasonable offers.
