- You
should have about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and
the front of the shoe and you should be able to wiggle your toes
- The laces should run parallel to each other when the shoes are laced and tied
- When tying shoes, we recommend pulling the laces outward, NOT by
pulling the laces up, doing so may cause eyelets or laces to rip or the
eyelet may become loose
- You should be able to get 2 fingers under the laces, the lace should not be too snug or too loose
- Width is just as important as length
- The ball of the foot, usually the widest part of your foot, should fit comfortably into the widest part of the shoe
- A sign that your shoes are too narrow is if the widest part of the
foot pushes out beyond or seems like it is hanging over, the midsole.
This can be on both the inside and the outside of the foot
- A sign that your shoes are too wide is if you see bunching and
creasing of the materials in the forefoot and you feel like you have to
cinch the laces for a better fit.
- To determine the correct width, your laces should run parallel to each other when the shoes are laces and tied
- Shoes should be comfortable right out of the box
- We do not recommend expecting a "break-in" period and you should not expect shoes to stretch lengthwise
- The best time to measure your feet or try on shoes is at the end of the day when your feet have already expanded
- Most of us have one foot longer than the other and we should choose a size that fits the larger foot best
