Boards showing wear along with extremities; cloth partially split along hinges; endpapers and title-page spotted, sporadically thereafter; inscription at front, dated 22nd Nov. 1887, ink partially showing through onto edge of frontispiece; all intact; p.125/126 with tear along width; occasional corners creased; front-board with furrow as shoen in photograph.
