A Set of Five Vintage Whispler Marbles

This is a selected set of Vintage Whispler marbles, otherwise known as European Fat-Core marbles.

The set contains five different colours and varied styles of these fantastic swirls.

These mysterious vintage marbles were distributed in England during the 1950's and 60's by British firms including Irene Manufacturing Company, Chad Valley Games, H.P. Gibson and Co. and T.S.L. Products, England; so they are readily recognised as a mainstay of many nostalgic and happy marble memories.

We love this type and they are very popular amongst others, because of their amorphous, flowing character; often galactic or arctic in style, and seeming to contain whole minute worlds within their complex organic structure.They can sometimes resemble the American 'Master' marbles due to similar manufacturing process, and range from clear and intense to cloudy, misty and filamentous; with wispy vanes, and delightful floating clouds of tiny bubbles: or creamy, earthy and moody as in the opaque types.

This marble set would make an ideal start to a collection, or an addition to a enthusiast's portfolio.

Size: All are smaller sized marbles between 9/16 of an inch and 19/32 of an inch, around 14.5mm.

Condition: Mint to mint - , in good condition with only very light wear to some marbles.
