This lot features a group of 4 Minie balls from the infamous John Brown Raid on Harpers Ferry in 1859.  These were discovered on Maryland Heights in the vicinity of where raider John Cook was stationed.  Brown and his men used Sharps Rifles during the raid and these bullets are specific to those guns.
These rare artifacts were housed in the now-defunct Harpers Ferry Museum.  A little over 30 years ago, my father and I purchased most of the contents of the museum at auction and I have been offering many of these items on eBay over the past year.
I only have a few items left to auction, so this will be one of your last chances to acquire items associated with the raid direct from the museum.  This is the first time these items have been on the market in over 3 decades and have been part of my collection ever since.
My wife and I are moving soon and the time has finally come to part with these amazing artifacts.
I’ll be listing a knife captured from raider John Kagi in the coming days that also originated from the museum.
I will include a letter of authenticity with each item stating its origins from the museum.
Winner to pay $10.99 shipping.
Thank you for looking and please be sure to check out the other items from my extensive collection of Civil War and Harpers Ferry items.
Good luck!
