This lot features a very rare artifact from General Ulysses S. Grants victory at Fort Donelson in 1862.  Offered here is one of the original cannon sites (levels) from the Confederate ship, the CSS Polk, that was destroyed in the battle.  It comes with a vintage description written by the original owner of this fantastic piece.  This is a very rare item with exceptional provenance!
