I am here, as my owner and I have decided it's time that I am ready for retirement. I have been with my human for over 10 years and have been their only vehicle within this time, but perhaps it is time for me to relax in a dry and comfortable garage somewhere where the roads aren't as bad as they are in my current location...
My human and I have gone on many an adventure (especially as they used to be a freelancer all over the country) but with their commute currently having to battle the M62, it's just a bit too much for me to handle.
Recently, I have had quite a bit of work done:
- New carburetor
- Welding (Passenger side sil panel)
- New brakes
- New alternator and pulley (+ wiring)
- Indicator and wiper switch
I have a 34 pict carb, and a 1600 engine - my human thought it would be a good idea if I could go a little faster, and I definitely agree.
(Pooch not included in the sale). I have been MOT every year that I have been on the road, and I am slightly lowered at the back.
I obviously need some other things doing, even though my human has been getting things sorted. I still need some welding work (but what Beetle doesn't) and I do need a new gearbox. My passenger front wing has been primed, but is yet to be sprayed my lovely Kansas Beige.
One useful thing about me however, is that because my human uses me everyday, there is little about me that they cannot tell you.
