These Round Dropout Savers by Helix BMX are designed to fit nearly all bikes with slotted dropouts.  This includes BMX, DH MTB, Single Speed, Klunker, Fixed Gear (Fixie), Track Bikes, etc.  They will work with 3/8" or 10mm axles.  They will not fit 14mm bmx axles.

These Round Dropout Savers are also designed to fit slotted road/track style dropouts with integrated chain tensioners.  Please see the last images for reference.

Protect the dropouts on your freshly restored frame.  Or, use them to clean up the looks of the ugly dropouts on your un-restored survivor.

The backside of each Dropout Saver has an anti-rotation tab that prevents the Dropout Saver from rotating when the axle nut is tightened.  The large backside surface that mates to the dropout face features a completely radiused outer edge.  This prevents an otherwise sharp cornered (90º square) edge from marking or gouging the painted, powder coated, or anodized finish of your frame.

Not only do these protect your dropouts, but they look great!


These are perfect for...

Most every BMX bike with standard dropouts.  This inludes old school Mongoose, Webco, DG, Haro, Hutch, GT, Cook Bros, JMC, Torker, VDC, Diamond Back, CW, Redline, and many other popular brands. 


These Helix BMX Dropout Savers are CNC machined from heat treated, aircraft quality 6061-T6 aluminum alloy billet.  They have a raw, machined aluminum finish.  They are designed to be used as-is, but you can also send them out to be anodized any color you want.

The Helix BMX Dropout Savers were completely modeled in 3D CAD software to ensure the proper dimensions and geometry to be used in manufacturing.  See the screen captured image of the 3D CAD data!
