Narcogoggles (drug goggles) are used to
demonstrate sensory impairment in the post-drug state:
- reduced concentration,
- very strong imbalance
- inability to determine directions and distances
correctly,
- drastic reduction in judgement,
- double/multiple vision,
- lack of muscular coordination
Narcogoggles should not be used by people with
balance disorders or epileptic neurological conditions.
The person using goggles should remain
under the constant supervision.
It is recommended that goggles are only used
indoors or in an area free of sharp or dangerous objects to avoid injury.
Driving with the use of goggles is not
recommended even with vehicles intended for driving lessons, as the extent of
sensory impairment during their use makes it completely impossible to drive
any vehicle (however such a test conducted under safe conditions
will be very informative for the driver)).
The sensory impairment that occurs during the use
of goggles is individual and can vary in severity from person to person.
In addition, the effect of using the narco-goggles
may increase over time; the recommended duration of uninterrupted use of thegoggles
should not exceed 5 minutes.
The sensory impairment effect simulated by the
drug goggles disappears when they are removed, although some individuals may
need an adaptation period of several seconds/minutes after removal.
The goggle lenses can be cleaned from the outside
with isopropyl alcohol (IPA).
The inner surface of the glass should not be
cleaned to avoid scratching it.
Not to be used as a toy by children.
