Arcam FMJ AVR450 Integrated Receiver

This beautiful high end home cinema integrated receiver was in perfect condition until very recently but has unfortunately had a hard life having been delivered by a DPD man who seems to have handled it with the finesse of a caveman. I have been able to recover some value from DPD but I'm now selling it on. The cosmetic damage is obvious to see, mainly the dent on the top and bottom front corners. However, it does still power up and can be seen responding to the buttons and remote control in the video. It hasn't been fully wired up to an AV system, that's why it's listed as for parts/not working.  If you can live with the cosmetic damage there's still an awesome AV receiver here.

Prior to this it was in excellent and fully working condition (first two photos from the auction house are the actual item pre-damage). Comes supplied with mains lead, generic remote and copy of handbook. This unit retailed at over £2,200 when originally released. The AVR450 is built around a low noise torroidal transformer which, while expensive, provides the best foundation for an amplifier. They are rarely seen in receivers because they use a lot of expensive copper and they are costly and difficult to make. This special power supply provides the AVR with the ability to drive complex loads often seen in high performance speakers. The facia incorporates a sculpted air intake scoop that helps keep everything nice and cool. It has FM and DAB+ radio section for many countries in Europe and elsewhere as well as internet radio.
