This Cobridge Stoneware temple jar is the perfect addition to your collection of art pottery. Made for the Cobridge Stoneware Collectors Club in 2001, a pagoda topped temple jar with a flared stopper and subtle blue/green glaze effect finish. Underneath the blue/green glaze, is a delicate oriental sgraffito pattern which gives the vase a snake skin effect. Designer Angela Davenport' s inspiration for the sgraffito work came from the fact that 2001 was the year of the Chinese year of the white snake.

Cobridge Stoneware was an associate company of Moorcroft Pottery and was only in production from late 1998-2005. This vase was a numbered edition, this being an early production being number 19. Usual impressed marks to the base along with painted artists initials. Height 23cm
