Wedgwood jasperware continues to be extremely popular with collectors today. Jasperware was manufactured in many different colors, usually with one base color and the relief comprising a different color. Harder to fine color combinations are those were three or more colors were used, usually two different relief colors. A very difficult example to find our commemorative items related to the royal wedding in 1981 of H.R.H., the Royal Prince of Wales and Lady Diane Spencer. The ceremony was held at St Paul’s Cathedral on July 29, 1981.

A special memento celebrating this special occasion were limited edition tricolor jasperware plates, one for the Prince, the other for Lady Diana. This release was limited to 250 sets, this example number 95. The 9” diameter plate has the lilac base color with white dice containing green trefoils. The portrait of the Prince fills the center. I have included pictures of the backside containing the information as well as Wedgwood mark and “made in England“. In factory original condition showing no damage or repairs. I see no staining or bleeding of the colors into the white areas of this wonderful example. For those collecting English royalty pieces or extremely rare jasperware examples, here is a must for your collection. Due to the value and scarcity of this item, it will be double boxed, shipped UPS ground, fully insured at a fixed price.
