CAR HAS SOLD This is a 1999 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8t with 5spd. manual transmission and all wheel drive. The car has a lot of miles and shows its age, but it's mechanically sound, runs and drives very well. Title is clean. It's a great handling car that averages around 30mpg. The owner has had this car for 18 years as a daily driver. The original paint is dark gray, the clear coat has worn off on the hood and roof. There is no body rust. Interior is in fairly good shape, with aftermarket seat covers in front, a few plastic bits cracked on rear seat latches but they are functionally in tact. Carpets have been cleaned but have some residual stains. HVAC system works as it should. With a clocked mileage of 290203, this car is in solid running condition.

Seller's Notes

Engine oil and filter have just been renewed, along with engine and cabin air filters. Front axel shafts and cv joints brand new. Vredestein Quatrac tires were new in December 2023, have about 3500 miles on them. Owner happy to answer questions or provide more details about the mechanicals. I have electronic receipts for many of the parts purchased over the years.

Vehicle Details

The (mechanic) owner has performed all service and repairs through the years. Recent repairs include:

--Timing belt, tensioner and water pump replacement (269000 miles)

--Replaced all 4 wheel bearings (275000)

--Replaced rear brake calipers & pads (282000), fronts replaced earlier

--Front suspension completely renewed at 230000; rear suspension arms replaced as needed. Bilstein shocks all around.

--fuel pump and filter replaced at 260000.

The engine holds good compression and does not use oil. Turbo and wastegate are stock. Turbo had been replaced prior to 97000 miles. The car does not have a boost gauge, but the turbo performs well, plenty of kick to the pants, so to speak.

This is a non drive-by-wire car. The ECU has been upgraded to APR Stage 1 mapping. The OEM mapping is preserved, and accessible via a toggle switch mounted beneath the dash. Stage 1 driveability is excellent, that's been my preference for many years and tens of thousands of miles.

The car has a 2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust system in good shape.

OEM clutch and flywheel have been replaced with S4 single mass flywheel and clutch (180000).

Exterior

Original paint & body shows years and miles, no body rust, no accidents. I'm the third owner, purchased car on 2006 at 97200 miles. It's been a daily driver ever since.
