This is an original, unused vintage mid-century modern chrome wall-mounted bathroom vanity wall fixture that has a turn switch and a place for a plug-in. It does show some handling from being around and out of the box for many decades. The round mounting part is about 4 1/2 inches in diameter. As you can see, the wires on back have never been stripped for use. It has the Underwriters Laboratories inspected paper label on back. Appears to be from 1950s or 1960s. In modern times the plug receptacle would have a grounded outlet, and with a ground fault interupter (GFI) in case you plugged in something and dropped it into the bathtub or sink. You can wire this accordingly, of course, to a GFI outlet. Seek the advice of a professional electrician when mounting. The chrome finish has some small spots in the finish, and there are some small surface rust spots on the back. At the bottom of the light part, near the switch,  there is a tiny ding/dent, which you can see in the third photo. Since it's never been mounted it's untested. Please check photos closely and ask if you have any questions. Shipped USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail to US addresses only, 1 pound shipping weight from zip code 98282, near Seattle.
