The ROTOLIGHT NEO 2 is a portable on-camera LED light with a bi-color temperature range. It has a power source option of either batteries or 6 AA rechargeable batteries (alkaline need not apply). The light has 101-200 LED bulbs and features HSS flash. It is compatible with pro video rigs and has a cold shoe for attachment to camera or light rig as well as three 1/4 inch thread attachments located around the unit. There is a trigger 1/8 inch jack for attaching radio or optical triggers in order to use the flash function. Color temperature and power are both adjustable by using the two dials on the back of the unit. Comes with filter units for additional color control. AC power cord/adapter included. Everything as seen in photos in original box.
The output of these units is not comparable to strobe flash units. Though it does have instant recycling for fast flash sequences.
At six feet with umbrellas, two of these units allow ambient light shooting indoors in dimly lit areas at 1/250th second f4 and 2500 ISO. Placed closer to the subject, or facing directly at the subjects, much higher light levels and lower ISO shots are possible. Typically the output using flash is about 2X the power of the ambient light usage.
These saved my bacon on a weekend where the power went out and I had to use them as my light source on a job.
They look and perform as new.
I have upgraded to the NEO 3 which is why I am selling these.
