The Battle of Na-Sam. The communist forces of the Vietmin suffered a serious defeat in the first attempted assault against the fortress of Na-Sam, a bulwark of the French defensive system in Indochina. Paratroopers and numerous fighter-bombers also participated in the fierce fight
