Note for K1300 models: The 37 mm rear lift also works very well with rear tires measuring 190/55x17.
Please note that with the 37mm version in conjunction with the rear tire 190/55x17 the main stand is not functional.

Motorcycles with a long wheelbase and a somewhat flat steering head angle are not exactly particularly easy to handle.
A tried and tested means of making a motorcycle more manageable and easier to corner is a simple rear lift.
On the K1200 and K1300 models, this can be easily achieved by modifying the triangular plates on the rear shock absorber.

We used the late summer / autumn of 2007 and tested various variants in real driving tests.
Our tests were carried out both solo and with a pillion on various winding country roads drove across the Swabian Alb to the Black Forest.

We drove our high-speed tests on our home route BAB - A8 Aichelberg - Wendlingen.
The results of the real driving tests were better than expected.
Clearly much better steering behavior, playfully manageable in alternating curves, 

The stability at top speed remains TOP up to 37 mm.
The K1200 is almost unrecognizable!

Basically, the higher the more manageable, but with the restriction that over 42 mm the stability at speeds over 370 km/h is no longer perfect, but is still within an acceptable range!
Furthermore, the main stand is only max. up to 37 mm just usable!

Our panels have a strength of at least 150% compared to the series!

For Allen variants, the main stand is fully functional on level ground!
The 37 mm, which corresponds to exactly the same lift as on the 1200 R - CUP BIKES, is sufficient for the normal sporty touring rider
and can also be easily mounted on the K1200GT.
We ourselves almost only travel on country roads and of course prefer the super handy 37 mm version.
For the K1300 models we recommend a maximum of 31mm. Variant.
When making the right choice for you, your own height must also be taken into account, as the seating position also changes depending on the distance to the road.
