The picture depicts the nest of a wood pewee bird with beautiful eggs. Back in that day, the Eastern wood pewee (Contopus virens) and the Western wood pewee (C. sordidulus) were considered one species. They are a small tyrant flycatcher from North America. The two species are virtually identical in appearance, but can be distinguished most easily by their calls.
There is some light staining/smudges in the margin of this print-- see scan. The paper is thick and quality. The page size is approx. 9 x 11.5 inches (22.6 x 29cm) and the actual image size (without margins) is approx. 7 x 9 inches.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
