It fits / works with all Minolta brand auto-focus camera bodies (film or digital) as well as all Sony A-mount (digital) camera bodies. 

Covering the giant front element is a Minolta brand 114mm clear filter which has protected the lens its entire life; I'm not sure why, simply because it appears that it's never been used at all-- As a result, again, there is no dust inside or out, the glass is perfect, no cleaning marks, no bugs, mold, cloudiness, imperfections, it is nearly immaculate.

Near the rear of the lens is a drop in filter drawer that houses your choice of 42mm screw-in filter. It comes with a clear one but if you wanted a polarizer or other specialty filter, the rear drawer is where it would go.

It also comes with the lens hood pictured, which I suspect is actual leather. It's mostly soft but has some sort of hard fiber board inside of it to protect the glass on the front end of the lens. Also included is the hard case with lockable latches and two keys.

There's a built-in integral tripod thread on the bottom of it which you may well need (for either tripod or monopod) because the lens is heavy, weighing in at just over six pounds; however, carrying it is a small price to pay for the quick, accurate auto focus speed and the resulting crispy sharp photos you'll get with it.
