since it was only provided to Authorized Apple Sellers.

And 1985 is a long time ago,

almost 40 years!

THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST APPLE DEALER DISPLAYS

BECAUSE...

----- REASON 1 -----

YOU WILL READ BOTTOM LEFT:

"Macintosh is a trademark of McIntosh Laboratory, Inc.

and is being used with express permission of its owner."

IT IS EXTREMELY RARE TO FIND AN APPLE DISPLAY

WITH THIS DESCRIPTION!!!!!

This ad was created before Apple had the right to use the name Macintosh. 

Apple licensed the rights to the name in March of 1983 from McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. 

and then finally in 1986 purchased the trademark outright for a still undisclosed amount. 

There are a few articles about it on the web.

Apple seemed to have been aware of the McIntosh name of the high end audio manufacturer

and hence turned it into "Macintosh" as to avoid trademark issues

- an approach which didn't succeed.

----- REASON 2 -----

When you look closely you will see that the display, 

which looks like a 2-sided display,

actually has a fold by design on the two sides.

This is because the purpose of this display is NOT

to be a 2-sided display but rather a 4-sided display.

The idea is that the display folds open like a 3-D display

and then you put the display OVER the Macintosh!

As such you just created a super original wrapping around the Macintosh!!

Isn't that original?????
