Two cased images of the same woman - one is an original daguerreotype from about 1854, the other is a paper CDV copy of what I’m guessing was a quarter plate ambrotype. The CDV has been trimmed to fit in a  daguerreotype case under glass with the usual mat & preserver. The CDV was taken by E. L. Johnson of Goodrich, C. W. [Canada West, AKA Ontario]. Both images came with notes identifying the subject as Betsy Smith Root. Both cases are 6th plate and both are split at the hinge. $8 boxed priority mail.
