This is a brand new "tactical" red laser target. It is the newest version of the older generic/ Defentac type target. I have no idea what makes anything "tactical", but since everything that has the word "tactical" associated with it seems to sell better... Maybe I should also state its "HD" (high definition) and gluten free. This newer version has improved sound and a better on/off switch. While it still feels somewhat toyish, the newer version is generally more refined, and many a fellow sci-fi geek will notice a Stargate Atlantis (old tv show) influence.
Uses three commonly found AAA batteries, that are included and installed.
The target has a counter, flashing red and blue lights, and sound. Rumor has it they are developing a version with flashing lights the colors of the LGBT rainbow, but that version will likely be reserved for the U.S. military and federal law enforcement.
No need to download any apps, and no need for a smartphone. Just turn on the target, load your laser training cartridge, and your ready to go.
All units are tested before shipping. I have a lot of fun testing them. They work well.
Again, it works well for any laser training cartridge such as strikeman, laserlyte, itarget, etc....
Buy more than one, and use them for room clearing drills.
If you live in a rural area, place one on the end of the porch railing, while relaxing in the evening on the other end, and plink away. It beats getting depressed watching the news. You will enjoy it more than President Biden enjoys sniffing adolescent girls.
You are buying just the target, with batteries installed. There is only one target. laser training cartridge is not included. Will work with any red or green laser dry fire training cartridge.
The original box is flimsy cardboard. Do not order this item if the condition of the original manufacturer's box is important to you.
The picture of the back of the unit accurately shows what they all look like. Some customers have complained that the screw was missing from the battery door. There is no screw. The opening is not for a screw.
The tape on the manufacturer's box lid will be cut, since I need to open the box to install the batteries. They do not come from the factory with batteries installed.
