Description
The second photo shows the hat with the yarns used to knit it, a long super soft eyelash yarn by Ice and a smooth worsted weight yarn. The smooth yarn is acrylic, the eyelash is polyester. The hat was knit using alternate rounds of the two types. It is medium thick, enough to make it comfortable to sleep in for a head with thin or no hair.
Some photos show the cap with a wig as a person with hair might wear it.
One photo shows the cap turned inside out. It looks a little different; another knitter could examine it and maybe see the purl stitches on this side and possibly see where I tucked in the ends of the yarn.
I made a lot of hats in various colors for a friend when she had chemotherapy. She said they're much more comfortable than wigs and I should sell some. I decided to do so and also donate locally.
This hat is about 15" around relaxed and 25" stretched. Lying flat the hat is about 8 1/4" from the top to the bottom. The hat is soft. The band is done in ribbing to help it stay on. It is hand washable. Lay flat to dry. Some ladies say they put the hats I make in the washer & dryer.
There are no seams.
