These are WW1 Patch King patches that were taken from a scrapbook. There is some glue and paper residue on the backs, but the fronts look excellent for display. Patch King made WW1 patches in the 1940's for veterans and collectors. The US did not authorize unit patches on Army uniforms until the last two months of the war, and then only for 3 Divisions, so 98% of all US WW1 patches were made sometime after the war ended (that's why you see most WW1 uniforms in photos and for sale with no unit or specialty patches).
