You are bidding on a New Old Stock Lucas Ballast Resistor Coil. In the 1980's Lucas superseded many of their Original Coil Numbers to this number, including Coils 45226, 45227, 45232, 45243, 45251, 45263, and 45266. This is an Original Black Top Lucas Coil made in the 1980's with a Date Code on the box of10/82. Lucas Books list this for 1973-1976 Triumph TR6; 1971-1980 Triumph Spitfire Mark IV and 1500; 1971-1973 Triumph GT6 Mark III; 1970-1973 Triumph Stag; 1975-1981 Triumph TR7 (Carburetor only); 1975-1980 MGB; 1975-1979 MG Midget; 1971 Rover 2000 TC; 1970-1971 Rover 3500 V-8 Automatic; 1971 Land Rover; 1970-1971 Jaguar XKE Series II; 1970-1971 and 1975-1979 Jaguar XJ6; 1972 Jensen Healey; 1975-1976 Lotus Elite; 1964-1980 Aston martin DB4, DB5, DB6, and DBS; 1970-1972 Austin America; 1967-1982 Bentley T Series; 1981-1982 DeLorean DMC12; 1948-1952 Morgan Three Wheeler; 1969-1975 Morgan Plus Eight; 1967 Porsche 911S; 1965-1968 Porsche 911C; and 1967-1973 Porsche 911T. The Coil is Near Mint; the Foil label has some wrinkles and there is slight oxidation on the bracket. This is an Original  Black Top Coil with all of the Correct Lucas markings, unlike what you can purchase today. Perfect for a concourse restoration car. The Coil is in the Original Lucas box, with a Date Code of 10/82. It has the small packet of connectors that attach to the top of the terminals. The relay is stamped on the bottom BFU, 21949801, and L5.  Nothing beats genuine Lucas and Triumph factory parts. They will look, fit, and function as they were designed to at the factory, and as they came on your car when it was new. The Lucas Part Number is DLB102 and CL102.
