TDM800P is an 8-port analog telephony interface card. Based on Digium’s patent-pending VoiceBus technology, the TDM800P is a half-length, full-height 32-bit 33MHz PCI 2.2-compliant, 8 port modular analog telephony interface card

The TDM800P supports single or quad FXS station or single or quad FXO office interfaces (for a total of 8 maximum channels on a single PCI slot) for connecting analog telephones and lines trough a PC. Using TDM hardware, Open Source Asterisk PBX software, and a standard PC, users can create a Small Office Home Office (SOHO) telephony environment that includes all the sophisticated features of a high-end PBX/Voicemail platform.

The TDM800P is the first industry 8-port analog telephony interface card built on a single PCI bracket – enabling universal PCI compatibility. Using the TDM800P, Digium’s Asterisk software and a standard PC or server, users can create a cost-effective and scalable SMB, SME or SOHO telephony solution with all the features and quality of a traditional, high-end PBX platform.

The VoiceBus technology, as first introduced on Digium’s TDM2400P, allows the TDM800P to use an industry standard bus-mastering PCI interface, as found in millions of PCs worldwide, to maximize system compatibility and eliminate system conflicts.

The TDM800P may be used in conjunction with Digium's High Performance Echo Canceler (HPEC), a commercial and toll quality hybrid echo cancellation solution on a global scale. The HPEC is a software designed solution to operate under 32-bit and 64-bit Linux and provides echo cancellation for configurable tail lengths of 16ms (128 taps), 32ms (256 taps), 64ms (512 taps), and 128ms (1024 taps) on a per channel basis.

The naming convention for the TDM800 bundles is as follows: TDM8XYB. Where "TDM8" denotes that the card is TDM with up to 8, "X" denotes the number of FXS ports, "Y" denotes the number of FXO ports.

All 8 ports may be connected to RJ-11 interfaces directly on the PCI card without the use of dongles or splitters.

Using Digium’s TDM hardware, Asterisk PBX software and standard PCs, users can create SME or SOHO telephony environment that includes all the sophisticated features of the high-end PBX/Voicemail platform.

To achieve hardware echo cancellation, any of these cards can work in conjunction with thenew module VPMADT302. THe VPMADT302 provides 128 ms or 1024 taps on each of up to 31 channels and is based on Adaptive Digital Technology's echo cancellation algorithm and runs on a Texas Instruments DSP. The ADT echo can technology is G.168 compliant and has been approved by the AT&T labs as toll-quality.
