Welcome!

For your consideration:

A Zeiss Ikon Contessa folding 35mm rangefinder camera circa 1951 with a Tessar f2.8/45mm lens. Synchro-Compur shutter with speeds to 1/500th of a second. Self-erecting lens board pops firmly into position when opened. Coupled rangefinder focusing. Having bought and sold hundreds of this model over the last 20 years, I can say these are among the most reliable cameras of the era that Zeiss ever built. Rarely have I found one that wasn't capable of use even before some CLA attention. This specimen has been well cared for, showing little signs of use or wear. See included photos taken with my other Contessa 35 in equal optical condition. Capture images as beautiful as the camera itself!

Condition details: Body with very minor signs of use or wear. Black paint work is excellent. Film chamber is clean with only a hint of usage on pressure plate. Shutter charges and fires fine with slow and fast speeds sounding right to my ear. Lens glass without scratches, haze or fungus. Aperture blades are clean, dry and adjust well. Rangefinder glass is clean, bright and double image aligns as it should. Bellows are supple and light tight. Film advance works as designed. Selenium meter is very responsive to light but accuracy has not been tested.
