This Old World Globe comes from Italy. It is a tobacco humidor and pipe rack holding 8 pipes, the lid has a sponge that obviously holds water to keep tobacco from drying out. The globe itself depicts the world from the early 1600s.

The midpoint is the zodiac. Truly artisan work has gone into its production. There are a couple of chips on the zodiac.
