This is a type without the Hattori mark that was sold about 20 years ago.
It was made by Hattori to exactly the same specifications as the 1700A sold until recently. The blade grind is accurate and the handle is beautifully molded from layers of thin sheets of different colors. The scabbard is leather, but the part that holds the blade has an embedded wooden scabbard like old Japanese blades.
It is in factory edge condition with no signs of use. Blade has slight rubbing against sheath.
Made of 8A stainless steel.
