Formed in 1996, Tiger gained attention for their 'new alternative' sound which differentiated them from the period's booming Britpop scene. Charactered by fuzzy guitars and multiple keyboards, the band drew comparisons to acts such as Stereolab and Neu! but with their own signature pop sensibility. Tiger's debut album 'We Are Puppets' was first released in November 1996 and included the UK Top 40 single 'Race', along with stand-out tracks 'My Puppet Pal' and 'On the Rose'.
