A fabulous example of Victorian cranberry art glass most likely originating from Europe possibly England or Bohemia. I believe the water pitcher was produced during the late 1800s possibly into the early 1900s.  It has a very fine and highly detailed pattern etched in bands divided by a clear quarter inch wide stripe dividing the top from the bottom. A smooth clear handle applied on the side and a polished pontil visible in the center of the bottom. The water pitcher stands 8 3/4” tall and measures 6 1/4” from spout to back of handle. The center portion of the body of the piece measures approximately 6 3/4” diameter.  In overall beautiful condition except for a crack in the handle at the very top area of attachment to the body. I’ve included two pictures of this area, roughness can be felt on one side of the handle in this region. The only other issue to note would be an ash inclusion, as pictured, in the body of the piece. Due to this post factory issue, I am listing this item at auction without reserve substantially below the market value of a similar item in factory original condition. The item is sold as is, as noted. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.

Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.

Thank you.
