DETAILS:

Case:            ‘Lone Eagle’ model. Delightful, highly noticeable and unmistakable. The tonneau shaped white gold plated case incorporates intricate engraving the front and sides – simply gorgeous. Original & signed 'Bulova'. The hinged 10kt rolled white gold plate bezel and case back have been cleaned & lightly repolished and fitted with a new acrylic crystal. There is wear to the case back. In general, the case looks great with modest wear/scratches present commensurate with the age of the watch.

Crown:         Showing some wear.

Dial:             Very eye-catching & immaculate. The original dial has been professionally refinished to a high standard in a silver tone, accentuating and complementing the rich lustre of the 10kt white gold plated case. The hour positions are marked with numerals which along with the hands have been relumed and now glow well in the dark. The ‘Bulova’ name, inner minute chapter and recessed sub-second dial at the six o’clock position are in black.

Hands:         Hour, minute and sub-second hands are all original, black/blue steel, ‘Cathedral’ style.

Movement:  BULOVA high quality Swiss manual wind movement. This is a fine classic 10AL calibre with 17 jewels marked with a shield symbol for 1929. The movement benefits from a dust shield with retaining ring which are intact. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted, and is running well, keeping good time ready to wear. As with all vintage watches regular servicing is recommended.

Size:            Tonneau shaped approx. 35.85mm including lugs X 26.98mm excluding the crown. Approx. 30.28mm excluding the lugs.

Band:           A new 16mm black leather band with silver tone buckle has been fitted complementing the watch perfectly.

This is a delightful example of a Bulova ‘Lone Eagle’ watch from 1929 which has been lovingly restored to appeal once again – and as I’m sure you will agree, it certainly does.

• This is a vintage manual wind watch with a movement from 1929 and as such it will not have the accuracy of a contemporary quartz movement therefore perfect time accuracy cannot be expected. If you want a watch to simply put on and go – then perhaps this is not the best choice you could make – however, if you want a period timepiece that you can admire and enjoy on each occasion you wear it, then this is a great item.
