Per Wikipedia, Rio is the second studio album by Duran Duran, released in May 1982 by EMI and remixed by Capitol Records to better match American radio at the time. The remixed album spent 129 weeks on the Billboard chart, reaching number six. The album is mostly composed of fast, upbeat numbers, with a couple slower synthesiser-based ballads.  With this album, Duran Duran were forerunners in the Second British Invasion of the 1980s.  The album up for bid is a 1982 remix by Capitol Records and first pressing for the Columbia House by its Carrollton pressing facility.  It consists of 9 tracks with a run time of 42+ minutes and includes the group's hit singles "Hungry Like the Wolf" and the title track "Rio".

The cover is in G+ condition.  There is moderate wear to the cover overall.  There is moderate wear along all edges and corners.  The cover shows mild disk wear on both front and back covers and there is creasing of the front lower left corner.  There is no split seams along the edges and no tears or markings on the album.  Although it has seen significant wear, it has done its job in protecting the recording.

The paper inner sleeve is original, but is worn with two split seams.  The graphics on both sides are in VG condition with a color photograph of the group on one side and track listings, lyrics and production information.  I have enclosed the recording in a new  heavy paper sleeve for additional protection from dust accumalation.  The original sleeve will be included with shipment.

The recording has been cleaned and tested with Audacity.  All tracks were played through and all tracks were free of skips.  There is mild background noise that consists of an occasion "click" that does not significantly affect the music.  The disc surfaces show signs of wear.  This consists of scuffs that are not detectable to the touch and do not interfere with the sound, which is clear and crisp.  The labels are clean and intact.  The recording is in VG condition and very listenable.
