Wood Art sculptural vase handmade in Woolwich Maine by wood artist Dan J. Peterman

Unique artisanal item, one of a kind, signed by artist. Geometric form 13 inches tall 4-5/8 by 4-5/8 inches at the widest point and 3-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches at the base, 2-1/2 by 2-1/2 inches at the top. Suitable for dried items. For flowers in water, you would need to find a glass vessel to insert in the opening which is 1-1/2 inches wide by 7 inches deep.

Artist bio:
Dan J. Peterman is a retired psychologist who works in both wood and clay, sculpting the human figure. He has studied at both the Penland School of Craft in North Carolina, and the Haystack School of Craft in Deer Isle, Maine. For the past several years he has concentrated on creating variations of facial expressions, which can be endlessly unique, subtle and difficult to capture. His work has been seen in numerous juried shows in Pennsylvania and Maine, most recently at the River Arts Gallery in Damariscotta, Maine.
