An antique bronze figural inkwell with a bald eagle, dating from the late 19th century or very early 20th century. It is probably American but could be French and made from the American market. The inkwell is approximately 11.5 inches wide, just over 5 inches tall, and it weighs over 4.5 pounds. It is in very good uncleaned as-found condition.
