Antique Hoosier Flour Bin with Glass Window and Sifter

This is an original sheet metal flour bin with a glass window and detachable sifter.

The flour bin is 26-1/2" tall in the front, 24-1/2" tall in the back, 9-1/4" wide and 9-3/4" deep.

The 4" X 8" oval window is on the front panel and a hinged lid is attached to the top.

The flour sifter, which is attached to the bottom of the bin, has a wooden handle and crank.

CONDITION: Good. The flour bin was used and then removed from its cabinet. It was religated to a storage barn until the barn was recently cleaned out.  The bin has a kink mid-way down the front right edge and two others on the front panel just below the seam. The lower back corner of the right panel has a pin hole where the original hardware was attached. The lid fits inside of an edged frame but it does not sit flat due to a kink. Two bands in the crank mechanism of the flour sifter are loose and the sifter cap is missing. The outer surface of the sifter is rusted and one of the pins which keeps the sifter attached to the bin was replaced with a metal rod. The bin has its original metal surface - never painted or decorated.
