Tea Cup (Song Dynasty) Jianzhan By Huang Yu Xi (黄雨茜）.

Chinese tea cup known as Jian Zhan of the Song Dynasty in China. Very few good ones make it to the mainstream market.

This piece is made by a young artist name Huang Yu Xi, the piece is a black based porcelain with silver petals. These patterns are naturally formed due to the high heat on glazing of the high iron ore glaze mix. At 1380 deg celcius the glaze surface formed with extraordinary finishes such as this one. This cups are made to last and good as a drinking cup both coffee and tea. It is an artwork by itself as no two cups are the same. The cup feels heavy in your hands as it is dense due to the metal minerals within. The materials used are all natural and organic, from the soil in the mountain area to the mineral rocks that are grinned to mix into the glazing. No artificial colouring is added and the glazing surface is perfectly safe for drinking.
