The ENGL Fireball 100 guitar amp head takes an “all-killer, no filler” approach, serving up scorching-hot tones with a straightforward control set. Loaded with four 6L6GC power tubes churning out 100 watts of power, the Fireball 100 is a turbocharged high-gain machine with a tight chug even at its most ferociously overdriven settings. Of course, shimmering cleans and light crunch tones are on tap if you desire. However, the Fireball 100’s true magic lies in its Lead channel, which overflows with heavy metal fury. (Don't fret: if things get a little too heavy, the Fireball 100 has a built-in noise gate.) Sculpting your sound is a breeze with the Fireball 100’s onboard 3-band EQ, Bright, Bottom, and Mid Boost switches, and Presence control. Additionally, there is a buffered FX loop, which helps preserve detail and clarity when using time-based and modulation effects. For brutal riffage, blistering leads, and drop-tuned grind, the ENGL Fireball 100 is ready to burn up the stage!

Aggressive tube attitude, snappy responsive feel

The Fireball 100 owes its aggressive attitude to four 6L6GC tubes in the power amp section and four 12AX7 tubes in the preamp section. This formidable combination allows you to shape the character of the distortion in the preamp section and then crank the volume without introducing additional sag and saturation. You get an inimitable tube crunch with greater articulation and a more responsive feel.

Flexible tone-shaping options

While the Fireball 100 is a relatively straightforward amp, it offers plenty of options for shaping your guitar tone. First up, a passive 3-band EQ covers the basic bottom-end, midrange, and upper-range voicings. Next, the Fireball 100 features a Bright switch, which adds a high-frequency boost to the clean channel; a Mid Boost, which affects both channels and can be controlled via footswitch; and a Bottom switch, for layering in some low-end oomph on both the Clean and Lead channels.
