Baroque was introduced in 1992 on the Sovereign Shape. The pieces were glazed in a rich mid-blue featuring an art nouveau style pendant which glows in a medley of subtle blues, turquoise, pink and orange. The pattern was drawn entirely freehanded by Claire Bernard and has a vitality and ‘element of uncertainty’ that could not have been achieved if it had been drawn with mechanical precision.
